Write to me via snail mail at (NOTE NEW ADDRESS):
VnV Stables, Samantha Kroese, 15005 Blackfoot Rd, Apple Valley, CA 92307
2008 Rules, please read carefully before requesting breedings.
* means a horse is imported. (r) indicates a real horse, all others are models. If there is no model body listed the horse is most likely a BSO (Breeding Stock Only) until I find an appropriate body.
1. Please do not use my names for your horses. This is a Sire/Dam list, not a naming list. If you already have a horse named like one of mine that is fine but please don’t just copy my names.
2. Please do not use my horses as sires/dams without my written permission. I keep exact records so I will know if you do. All breedings must be approved.
3. Foals must be at least 2 years younger than my stallions or 3 years younger than my mares.
4. All my horses are NON-AGING. However I do accept aging foals, they will just be assigned a permanent year in my records.
5. If sending a fee for a snail mail breeding please take the time to email me the breeding to get it approved first.
6. I do observe color genetics. Please be reasonable when choosing parents for your foal. All chestnut to chestnut breedings will result in a chestnut so don't try getting me to accept any other colors. For other colors it is a wise idea to have at least one parent the color of your foal. I am always happy to help answer questions on colors and what you need to breed to get them if you’re having trouble, so please feel free to email me.
7. Some stallions are proven to produce a certain color, I will only allow foals assigned to them are that color. Also in certain places I have requested the foal have part of the parent’s name in their name. If you don’t want to use it, then please use another horse, I have plenty.
8. When making a request please include the following information on the foal (and other parent if you are only using one of mine): Name, Age, Color/Markings, Breed, Gender, Make/Mold. At least Sire/Dam (preferably a 2 gen. pedigree) on other parent is required. If you request through email and then send the fee through the mail please include this info in the letter as well in case the email gets misplaced.
9. I prefer only to breed for horses that have a model body, however if you want a BSO only horse using my parents feel free to request and I’ll consider it. I prefer that you tell me that is what it is when you request it. I don’t discriminate against any model horse ’body’, however I will not breed horses for the SIM horse games.
10. Email breedings will be sent via the Sitstay.com pedigree generator, and you get the parents, and three generations of their pedigree with those (when available, I try to say on the list if I don’t have at least that). Mail in pedigrees can be up to 5 generations and will include photos of the parents if available (pictures only available through paid breedings).
11. Due to this being a hobby and not real horses and money for vets isn’t really a factor I do allow multiple foals per year for my mares, which would be done through embryo transfer in real life.
12. I will not inbreed. I know this is common but I won't allow any of the following crosses: Sire/Daughter, Dam/Son, Uncle/Niece, Aunt/Nephew, Brother/Sister. Please make note of the parents of the horses you are interested in using to make sure they aren't related.
13. I have tried to list lines on my horses so that you can compare and try to choose two that aren’t closely related. I reserve the right to change either parent requested if I have another that would work better for whatever reason (usually due to the one chosen being the wrong color or the same bloodlines).
14. If you have any questions please Email/write to me.
15. Please do not email me asking me to change any of my horse’s colors. This goes for any of my rare colors. I didn’t just go and make up colors for my horses to be, every color that is ‘rare’ on my list has been well researched. If you feel you can’t use my horses because I’m unrealistic than that’s your choice, don’t bother emailing me and telling me such it won’t change them. I apologize if I come across as rude, but I am only putting this on here because of the rude emails I’ve gotten from people who think they’re right and I’m wrong.
16. Do not email me and tell me to change my horse’s lineage because you’d already used that real mare for your horse’s parents. I don’t believe in that real mare registry and unless you own the real mare in question who’s to say I didn’t use that mare first. Besides I’m a firm believer in embryo transfer in horses, so even if you’d used that mare who’s to say I didn’t embryo transfer a foal out of her?
17. If you want to send me a picture of the foal to stick on their parent's page I can use it to link to your S/D list online. However please note that in doing so you are granting me permission to use that foal's picture on my website. The foal's name and owner will of course be credited.
I have been doing pedigree assignment and model horse breeding since 1991, my horses have the best possible pedigrees, and I take pride in how much work went into them. All real horse parents were researched to make certain they would produce the horse in question WHEN I did the pedigree. As my horses do not age, it may seem like there’s no possible way their parents could be some of the older bloodlines that I’ve used. I know it’s not very realistic to have non-aging horses but it is the way I do it, I certainly don’t go telling people who do aging that they’re wrong so I’d greatly appreciate those people showing me the same respect. All my horses have real horse lines when possible, though there are a few breeds (such as Mustangs/Chincoteagues) that have model/BSO lines because real pedigrees weren't available.
2008 Fees:
1. Email breedings are free. Pedigrees will be sent via email done on the sitstay.com pedigree generator. Please be patient, as these are FREE I don’t get any profit from doing them for you and I will refuse any from someone who emails me a dozen times in two days asking when they’re going to be done. I’m very busy with things and I do these in my spare time. Normally I get them done within a week of them being sent to me (most of the time a few days) but sometimes I just can’t get to them that fast and it might take longer.
2. Snail mail breedings come with an official breeding certificate with the pedigree printed on the back, and pictures of the parents on it if available. My 2008 fees are: 75 cents for one parent or $1.00 for both parents. All snail mail breedings must be accompanied by a SASE or you must send two stamps to cover the postage.
